I bought my home when I was working. I am not disabled on a fixed income. My lender, Chase Home Finance, granted me a loan modification when I went in default. They lowered my interest rate to 4% for 2 years. What I didnt know is that my term went from 30 yr to 44 yr. They wont grant me another modification because my daughters name is also on the account. She does not live with me or contribute in any way. She is greatly in debt also. This makes me ineligible for Making Homes Affordable program. Is there any help for someone like me?
