About Government Refinance and Home Purchase Programs

Information and Updates on Government Mortgage Programs

The HARP 2.0 program only applies to conventional loans that Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac have invested in behind the scenes. While it is not visible to borrowers, Fannie/Freddie invest in a majority of conventional mortgages so if you have a conventional first mortgage odds are Fannie or Freddie have invested in it. To find out if your loan is backed by Fannie or Freddie you can call your current lender and ask or you could check online at the following URLs:

http://www.freddiemac.com/mymortgage/

Note: When using the links above it usually helps to input your address in the exact same way the US Postal Service lists the address

Fill in the contact form in the sidebar after you find out if Fannie or Freddie back your current conventional mortgage. If they do we can help you look into a HARP 2.0 refinance and if they don’t we can help you find alternative programs.
